Surface Preparation Before Using the Car System 1k Epoxy Primer

Targeting 1k epoxy primer aerosol, all surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free from contamination. Before painting, all surfaces should be evaluated and prepared in accordance with ISO 8504:2000. If grease is present, it should be cleaned with solvents in accordance with SSPC-SPl. If oxidation occurs on the steel surface after blasting and before application of 1k epoxy primer aerosol, the surface should be re-blasted to the specified visual standard. Surface defects exposed during blasting should be polished, filled and treated in an appropriate manner. Car system 1k epoxy primer is suitable for surfaces that have been blasted to the standards stated above and are still suitable for use after about 7-10 days in good workshop conditions.
