Master the skills of using starting fluid, solve the starting problem with one click, and let the car restart in the extreme cold of -30℃!
[Case Scenario]
In the early morning of a cold winter, the vehicle battery is running low and the engine is as silent as a stone.
1. Safety inspection step
- Confirm that there is no open flame/high temperature parts in the engine compartment to avoid the risk of explosion of the starter fluid when exposed to heat
- Check whether the battery terminals are oxidized, clean the corrosion products to improve the conductivity
2. Accurate injection, refuse "drug-filling" operation
- Find the intake manifold or throttle valve (refer to the vehicle manual), and aim the starter fluid nozzle at the air intake
- Press the nozzle 2-3 times (about 10ml) to avoid excessive "oxygen intoxication" and damage to the engine
3. Golden 30-second start rule
- Start the key immediately after injection, and the duration should not exceed 15 seconds
- If the first failure, wait 1 minute and try again. Do not ignite continuously to burn the starter motor
[First aid tips]
- The starter fluid is only used as an emergency tool. Frequent use indicates hidden dangers in the battery/fuel system. It is recommended to repair it in time
- Keep away from children and fire when storing. Clean the nozzle residue thoroughly after each use to prevent corrosion of rubber parts.
[Wrong demonstration]
Pouring starter fluid directly into the fuel tank = creating a mobile bomb
Starter fluid or car engine starter spray is a temporary crutch in the cold winter, not a permanent antidote. If your car continues to "stay in bed", please call a professional doctor immediately for a comprehensive physical examination!
